The Folks
Inside the fascinating maze of Fez’s old medina, we partnered with a group of skilled artisans who specialize in traditional hand weaving using an ancestral horizontal loom. The Atelier was founded more than ten years ago by Yahya, who left his native town of Taounate to develop the business he inherited from his ancestors. Alongside three other artisans, including his nephew Mohamed, he creates high quality handwoven textiles from local sheep wool and cotton, preserving an ancestral craft.
The Tale
This collection was designed to showcase the beauty of these handwoven textiles, featuring bold design, clean lines and fresh colors. Each pillow is meticulously handwoven from start to finish by Yahya and his partners, bringing together a innovative design and ancient craftsmanship.
