At the heart of Fez’s traditional crafts district, we partnered with a family-owned factory to create our unique ceramic pieces. Mastering centuries-old techniques and combining exceptional quality with heartfelt authenticity, the factory has been operating for more than five decades. Over the years, It has become an institution where clay craftsmanship is preserved and passed on from one generation to the next. Our collaboration aims to bridge these incredible technics with contemporary design and aesthetics, reinventing a shared cultural legacy.
Glazed ceramics craftsmanship has been introduced to Morocco over a thousand years ago by Andalusian immigrants coming from Cordoba. Starting in Fez and quickly developing in other major cities, the technic is first mainly used for Zellige mosaic tiles inside sumptuous monuments and castles. These know-hows have stood the test of time and are still at the chore of our artisans work process. Clay is manually prepared and fashioned and each piece is patiently decorated and fired multiple times. Fez ceramics are traditionally centered on geometric patterns, floral designs as well as arabic calligraphy. We continuously draw inspirational from all these tales to design our products.
